'Dragon-pet'... As opposed to most fantasy settings, I've decided that if anyone is the servant, the inferior, the 'pet' in the relationship between human and dragon, it would not be the long-lived, powerful, majestic lizard. Despite being the honest truth, Drakestrians don't enjoy being reminded of their place in the world. They see the words as an insult and a challenge to their authority.
There is something one shouldn't forget about pets however. Their owners tend to get irritated when their prized possessions get messed around with.
