I steal from reality. Master Kraythur is based on my friend Dustin as I've mentioned in the past. Captain Daniora is based on my friend Amy. Her crew, and I'll introduce them as they get better page time, are also based on friends. Essentially, all my drunk buddies from my Cards Against Humanity Saturday evenings are used as inspiration because I sketch a lot during those games. While I'm stealing their likeness, I might as well borrow their personality as well. Oh shut up! I ask permission.
Alright... let's talk about some serious stuff now. See that link on the right? That's my crowdfunding campaign for The Life Engineered. It's going... well? I don't want to 'jinx' it but it's doing pretty well. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and I need your help to avoid this promising journey from falling apart.
The Life Engineered is the first in a series of books about a race of sentient robots and how they deal with the slow erosion of their perfect civilization. There's a lot of cool characters, fun ideas and interesting plots in the book. It's a universe within which I have a lot of stories to tell and I want to do a lot of cool things with the book. If this campaign works out, I'll be one step further on the path of making this a thing.
Pre-order. It's not too expensive and you'll get a physical copy of the book. I will, for the rest of my life, keep a copy of the list of people who have made this happen on me, and should you meet me at a convention or other event, I will draw a robot in your book to thank you.
Not enough? Fine. You can contribute for free. It's a trick. If you sign up to Inkshares, after a few minutes you'll get a 5$ credit to your account. Recommend The Life Engineered on Facebook and you'll get another 5$ credit. With that 10$ credit, you can order The Life Engineered and secure your place as a brick in the foundation of my dreams, for free.
You still here? Go on. Go pre-order.
