The Eldritch Age - volume 1 - page 21

Good news! Not all the Gobbos died at the hands (breath?) of Belophrae, the dragon. Of course, 'survived' is a pretty broad term considering what's left of Pork.

So let's talk about how the larger, dark Gobbo calls Pork, 'Half-Face' in the last panel. I feel that deserves a bit of enlightenment. Gobbos earn their names through accomplishments or other meaningful events or traits in their lives. These are not always positive. 'Pork' for example was not named that way for a flattering reason. So 'Half-Face' is a new name for him, the origins of which are obvious. It's a bit of an homage to the Batman villain Two-Face. I don't plan on having the Gobbo flipping coins to help him make decisions, but his fearsome appearance and new name will become a bit of foreshadowing. Of what? Well, keep reading of course.

It's worth noting that his is the very last page of Volume 1. I really want to thank those of you who have been reading so far. I know it's a bit of a slow pace but I have big plans for this story and if you stick around for the long haul, I think you'll discover it's worth it. At any rate, I'd love to hear from readers. Get your impressions. Get an idea of what you think so far and what you expect.

Either way, in two weeks we start Volume 2 and I finally get to introduce some more important players in my tale. Next week however, I have a bit of a special feature. I hope you enjoy it.
