Ashburg: At the edge of the Red Forest, Ashburg is a small but prosperous village. Populated by farmers adept at exploiting the fertile volcanic soil to their North and South, Ashburg makes it's fortune by supplying Bear Point and roaming tribes from the nomadic Camps of the South with grain, bread and meat as well as wool.
- Middlefield: Another farming community, Middlefield's industry focuses on orchards and cattle. Unlike Ashburg, Middlefield trades very little with the Camps, instead doing business with SandPoint to the North but mostly the Falls who offer military protection in exchange for goods. The people of Middlefield are also one of the rare NorthWestern community to have open and largely peaceful dealings with the Gobbo tribes.
- Meridian: The largest and most prosperous community in the NorthWest, Meridian is the seat of the Academy of Eldritch Studies, the home of the largest fishing fleet of the coast and the most populous metropolis after the sprawling serfdoms of the Falls. The Old City of Meridian is built into the remains of a beached supertanker but surrounded by a large city. Beside fish, an immense and ever busy market supplies Meridian with most of it's income. The scholars of the Academy also attract many visitors. Most importantly, Meridian is also the home of the Drakestrian Order's embassy. This lonely, mostly empty building is entirely symbolic today, but used to be where the Dragon Riders and other leaders of the various kingdoms of the NorthWest would meet to prepare the military campaigns against their ancient enemies.
